Emma’s world was turned upside down when her father called her home from university, only to tell her she had to give up her room for her reckless stepbrother, Jacob. Months later, a call revealed their family home had burned down due to Jacob’s negligence, forcing them all to rebuild their lives and relationships.
Emma was studying at the library when her dad called urgently: “Emma, I need you to come home right away.” Once home, she learned Jacob would be taking her room. “What? Where am I supposed to go?” she protested. Her father dismissed her concerns, saying, “You’ll figure it out. You’re a smart girl!”
Forced to move into a tiny dorm, Emma struggled to balance work and studies. Eventually, she secured a better job and a small apartment. However, another urgent call from Linda revealed their house had burned down due to Jacob’s carelessness. “Jacob threw a party… the house went up in flames,” her father admitted.
Emma agreed to help, on the condition that things changed. “I won’t be treated like a second-class citizen in my own family.” With everyone working together, they slowly rebuilt their home and repaired their relationships, finding strength and unity in their shared efforts.
