During our living room renovation, our expensive, eco-friendly paint vanished, only to be found with our neighbor, Mr. Jenkins. We had eagerly awaited the delivery of the paint for our project, but when it didn’t arrive, we were puzzled. The delivery company confirmed it was delivered, so we checked with our neighbors, but no one had seen it.
A few days later, Karen discovered a postcard from Mr. Jenkins advertising our paint for sale. “Extra premium eco-friendly paint for sale,” it read. Furious, I confronted Jenkins, who admitted using some of it and selling the rest. He defiantly said, “If you want the rest, you’ll have to pay for it.”
Despite our anger, we were powerless to retrieve the paint. Karma soon struck: Jenkins’ paint began peeling because he hadn’t prepped the walls properly. He had to order more paint at double the price and hire a professional to fix the mess. Watching his downfall was our small satisfaction.
